Coach Explodes On Spain's Costa Del Sol

Coach Gutted by Fire on A-7 Motorway in Costa del Sol, No Injuries Reported

A devastating fire broke out on the A-7 motorway on the Costa del Sol at its junction with the MA-20 (Ronda Oeste) in Malaga early Saturday evening (22 June), completely gutting a coach. Fortunately, all passengers and the driver managed to evacuate safely, and no personal injuries were reported.

The incident necessitated a temporary closure of traffic in the direction of Algeciras as emergency services battled the blaze, leading to significant traffic congestion. Fire engines from Malaga, ambulances, and members of the Guardia Civil traffic division swiftly responded to the scene. Eyewitnesses, who alerted emergency services at around 6:30 PM, reported that the bus was entirely engulfed in flames.

On the social media platform X (formerly known as Twitter), 112 Andalucía provided updates, confirming that the fire was causing major traffic disruptions on both the MA-20 and the A-7.
