Breaking News: Shooting in Talbot Green Amid Suspected Drug Turf War

Talbot Green, South Wales – A person has been shot in what is believed to be a drug-related turf war in Talbot Green. The incident occurred at the Green Park estate, located behind the Tesco supermarket. Emergency services, including police and ambulances, are currently on the scene.

Local residents reported hearing gunshots earlier this evening, prompting immediate response from South Wales Police and medical teams. The area has been cordoned off as authorities conduct their investigation.

This shooting comes on the heels of a recent violent incident at the nearby Talbot Green Police Station. On January 31, a man attacked officers outside the station, resulting in injuries to three officers. The suspect, 27-year-old Alexander Stephen Dighton from Llantrisant, was charged with multiple offences, including attempted murder and assault of emergency workers.

Residents are urged to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activity to the police.

South Wales Police have increased patrols in the area to reassure the community and deter further violence. Investigations are ongoing, and more information will be provided as it becomes available.

This is a developing story. Updates will follow as more details emerge.
