Kyiv Attacked By Ballistic Missiles In Revenge For Second Russian Bridge Bombing

Ukraine's armed forces have reported another successful attack on a bridge in Russia's Kursk region, this time targeting a second bridge over the Seym River. The strike comes just days after another bridge in the same region was destroyed, further disrupting Russian logistical routes.

Lieutenant General Mykola Oleshchuk, Ukraine's Air Force commander, commented on the operation, stating, "Minus one more bridge! The aviation of the air force continues to deprive the enemy of its logistical capabilities with accurate air strikes, which significantly affects the course of hostilities."

In response to Ukraine's bold incursions, Russia launched its third ballistic missile attack on Kyiv this month. Preliminary reports indicate that all incoming missiles were intercepted and destroyed before reaching the city.

In a separate incident, debris from a Ukrainian drone reportedly ignited a diesel fuel fire at a warehouse in Rostov, Russia. Rostov Governor Vasily Golubev confirmed that firefighters were dispatched to extinguish the blaze at the oil depot.

Amid these developments, the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) has raised concerns over "deteriorating safety" at Europe's largest nuclear power facility in Ukraine, currently under Russian control since the early days of the invasion. IAEA Director General Rafael Grossi issued the warning after a drone strike landed near critical infrastructure at the plant, including the cooling water sprinkler ponds and the last remaining 750-kilovolt power line that supplies the facility.
