MARBELLA BANDITS PLACED GUN AT WOMAN'S HEAD AS THEY ROBBED HER

Two hooded men robbed a woman at gunpoint near a shopping center in the Elviria area of Marbella. The alleged assailants fled in a dark-colored vehicle after taking the victim's mobile phone, cash, and other valuables.

The incident occurred around 12:55 am on Thursday, July 25, as confirmed by police sources to SUR. The National Police were alerted by a call to the 112 Andalucía emergency service, reporting that a woman had been robbed at gunpoint.

Sources indicate that the robbers did not physically harm the victim, who was able to call for help after the incident. The assailants reportedly fled the scene in a dark-colored vehicle.

The National Police have opened an investigation to identify and apprehend those responsible for the robbery. Interestingly, just a few hours earlier, another violent incident occurred in the Elviria area.

Around 2 pm on Wednesday, July 24, a man in his 50s was approached from behind while carrying shopping bags after leaving a supermarket. Two individuals allegedly attempted to strangle him using the 'mataleón' technique.

The victim nearly lost consciousness but managed to free himself by elbowing the attackers. The failed robbery attempt was reported to local residents in nearby housing developments, urging them to take precautions against such attacks.
