Spain's Luxury Cruise Line Prepares For Launch In Malaga

Luxury Cruise Line Alma Cruceros Sets Sail for Debut Season

The Malaga-based luxury cruise line Alma Cruceros is nearing its much-anticipated debut by putting tickets on sale for its inaugural season, set to begin in April 2025.

Tickets are now available through travel agencies and on the company’s website, according to Elisardo Sanchez, the founder and president of Alma Cruceros. "This is the litmus test for this project, but we are very confident about the response this initiative will receive," says Sánchez.

As the first luxury cruise line in Spain, Alma Cruceros aims to revolutionize high-seas travel, offering a unique tour of Andalucía. One highlight is the opportunity for travelers to explore Doñana after anchoring in Bonanza and to sail through Cabo de Gata aboard their first ship, the Ocean Victory. Built in 2021, this Infinity Class vessel epitomizes modern luxury and comfort.

The Ocean Victory features 93 double cabins, all exterior with 90% boasting balconies, accommodating up to 186 passengers. Spanning 104 meters, the ship offers numerous amenities including multiple restaurants, a gym, and a treatment salon.

"Our first ship combines the capabilities of a large cruise ship with the intimacy of a private yacht," says Pedro Costa, vice president and head of marketing and sales at Alma Cruceros. "With limited cabins and personalized service, we have already begun ticket sales to ensure that no one misses out on this experience."

Costa elaborates on the unique experiences planned for passengers: "Travelers will visit exotic Moroccan locations, stroll through Tangier, and enjoy Andalucía's stunning coastlines. Highlights include anchoring in Doñana, sailing past Cabo de Gata, watching the sunrise on the Guadalquivir, visiting Seville, and immersing themselves in Granada’s rich culture. Additional itineraries include cruising along the Costa Brava, anchoring in hidden ports along the French Riviera, exploring Saint Tropez, and basking in the sun on the islands of Corsica and Sardinia. Passengers will sail through one of the world's most beautiful natural harbors and dream in the marvelous Balearic Islands. These are the itineraries offered by Spain’s first boutique cruise line," details Costa.

As Alma Cruceros prepares for its maiden voyage, excitement is building among potential passengers eager to experience this luxurious new way to explore the high seas.
