Ukraines Drones Fly 1100 miles to bomb Russia

Ukraine’s intelligence directorate reportedly launched drones 1,100 miles over Russian territory, targeting an air force bomber base in Murmansk in a daring assault on Olenya airfield.

This attack was part of a broader Ukrainian operation that deployed drones to various air bases and oil refineries, according to Pravda, which cited intelligence sources.

Simultaneously, a Ukrainian drone attack set three tanks ablaze at an oil storage depot in Russia’s Kursk region, acting regional governor Alexei Smirnov reported on Sunday.

No injuries were reported, and the fire at one tank was quickly extinguished. Efforts to put out the fires at the remaining two tanks involved at least 82 firefighters, Smirnov stated on Telegram.

Russia’s defense ministry reported that its air defense systems had destroyed two drones over the Kursk region.

In a related development, Ukraine announced that its missile forces struck a Russian military airfield in Crimea, used for operations against Ukraine.

The Ukrainian military’s general staff confirmed that Russia’s Saky airfield in western Crimea was hit and that they were evaluating the aftermath.
