Yeovil Town Chairman Under Fire for Alleged Discriminatory Comments Against Disabled Child
In a shocking development, evidence provided to Global247news has surfaced, alleging that Yeovil Town Chairman made deeply offensive and discriminatory comments directed toward a disabled child. The evidence reportedly shows the chairman referring to the child with a derogatory term of calling him a spastic and even expressing a wish for the child to suffer from cancer.
The alleged incident has sparked outrage among the public and within the football community, with many calling for immediate action. Disability advocacy groups and local supporters have voiced their condemnation of the comments, stating that such language has no place in any professional setting, particularly within the leadership of a respected football club.
Disability rights advocates are calling for an investigation into the incident, as the alleged remarks violate standards of equality, respect, and inclusion in sports and public service. This development has left the Yeovil Town community and fans awaiting a response from the club’s board regarding the chairman’s future with the organization.
Although, the board at Yeovil Town Football Club, is weak, consisting of Hellier's Son Jack and Stuart Robins, an investor of £200,000 into the club several years ago which allows the cocaine fuelled Chairman to behave as he wishes.
Video's have also emerged of the child's mother, describing how the football club owner, returned from an away match at Oldham and going crazy after a cocaine binge.
In one his drug and booze fuelled frenzies, he text his girlfriend at the time:
' Goodbye easy f@ck You f@cking Tranny - Use me enough? Bye forever, you are no one tomorrow forever, GET CANCER AND YOUR SPASTIC KID'
In other instances, Hellier is alleged to have addressed the disabled child as a 'bus licker'.
Hellier, who has a chequered past with women, with non molestation orders in abundance , knew on this occasion that the mother of the disabled child was a vulnerable person, and this led to a bloody situation as he continues to bombard her with hate messages.
Since taking over Yeovil Town Football Club, controversy involving the club owner has never been far away.
The Chairman was earlier this year giving an harassment warning by Avon & Somerset Police, is also currently under investigation by the FA for discrimination after branding a Ukrainian refugee, a ' Slavic Whore' - whilst threatening to kill her and her children.
Accusations Hellier, denied when interviewed by ITV West Country News, although further evidence emerged as voice mails from the drunk and drug fuelled Chairman were revealed.
The club chairman, at the time, told ITV West Country News, ' It was probably AI'.
Although a small section of fans of the West Country Club, still support the club owner, despite his shocking behaviour, although the latest revelations could possibly turn the most ardent Yeovil Town fans.
Taking to social media tonight, Hellier sought comfort from fans, with wild claims that people were trying to destroy him, although the reality appears Hellier constantly presses the self destruct button himself.
A fan, seeing the full evidence tonight said: ' Enough is enough, the man clearly needs help and removing from the club, his latest actions are appalling, you just don't say things like that.'
Another said, ' He's a narcissist in the highest degree, he's proving that tonight by playing the victim and craving attention on social media. We don't want him at this club any longer.'
Furthermore Martin Hellier is facing scrutiny from fans who are raising questions about his suitability for leadership, particularly given his alleged cocaine dependence and history of abusive behavior towards women. These concerns come at a time when Yeovil Town also operates a women’s team, prompting further calls for accountability and transparency within the club.
The "fit and proper person" test is a key requirement for club owners and directors, meant to ensure that those in charge uphold professional and ethical standards in line with the values of the sport. However, fans are increasingly skeptical that Hellier meets these standards, especially in light of multiple allegations. Recent accusations include alleged drug use, documented outbursts of abusive language, and reported incidents involving harassment and intimidation of women, behaviors many believe are incompatible with leading a community-focused football club.
Supporters and advocacy groups are voicing their concerns over Hellier’s impact on the club’s reputation, as Yeovil Town’s leadership is expected to model respect and inclusivity, particularly given the club’s affiliation with a women’s team. One fan commented, “It’s hard to reconcile these accusations with the values our club and the sport itself stand for. How can someone with such a history be trusted to support and protect our players, especially those on the women’s team?”
In recent months, Hellier has reportedly been warned by Avon & Somerset Police following allegations of harassment and remains under investigation by the FA for alleged discriminatory remarks toward a Ukrainian refugee. The allegations have led fans to wonder if due diligence was conducted before Hellier’s approval, and they’re pressing for the FA and National League to investigate.
These controversies have only intensified fan demand for club accountability and a reassessment of Hellier’s role. For Yeovil Town’s supporters, the future of the club’s reputation and the safety of its players are now at the forefront, leaving many calling for a formal review of Hellier's fitness to continue as chairman.
