South Wales Authorities Hunt for Lane-Hogging Driver: Reckless Motorist Wanted for Interview
A search is underway to locate a driver who allegedly drove in the middle lane for the entire journey from Llantrisant to Swansea on the M4 motorway, ignoring lane discipline. The incident, which has sparked outrage among fellow motorists, is being investigated by South Wales traffic authorities, who are treating the case as one of careless and reckless driving.
The suspect, believed to be a woman with dark hair, approximately 30 years old, is wanted for questioning after several drivers reported her behaviour. According to eyewitnesses, she occupied the middle lane for the entire stretch, causing disruption and forcing other vehicles to dangerously manoeuvre around her.
A spokesperson for the South Wales Traffic Authority said: "Lane hogging is not just inconsiderate, it is dangerous. By sitting in the middle lane, this driver created unnecessary traffic congestion and potentially hazardous situations. We are actively seeking to interview her regarding her actions."
Drivers on the M4 who witnessed the incident have expressed their frustration, with one saying, "She stayed in the middle lane for miles, and there was no reason for it. It was frustrating, and it forced a lot of drivers into the outside lane."
Under UK driving laws, lane hogging can result in a fine of £100 and three points on the driver's licence. Authorities are urging motorists to remain vigilant and report any similar incidents.
Traffic police are continuing their efforts to identify and locate the individual involved. Anyone with
